<p>Hi all Friends of Tideman Johnson!</p>
<p>I hope you&#8217;re enjoying this off-again-on-again summer we&#8217;re having. My tomatoes are confused but the weeds are growing like crazy!</p>
<p>Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:</p>
<p><strong>Saturday August 28th, Johnson Creek Cleanup (<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=Mill+Park,+Milwaukie,+OR&amp;sll=45.385129,-122.502537&amp;sspn=0.05992,0.116215&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=Mill+Park&amp;hnear=Mill+Park,+Portland,+Clackamas,+Oregon+97222&amp;ll=45.45484,-122.598109&amp;spn=0.003643,0.007263&amp;z=18" target="_blank">map it</a>) 9 a.m. &#8211; noon, followed by post-clean up party</strong></p>
<p>Once again, we are partnering with the Overland Park Coalition to help clean up trash from Johnson Creek. Meet up at Mill Park (<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=Mill+Park,+Milwaukie,+OR&amp;sll=45.385129,-122.502537&amp;sspn=0.05992,0.116215&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=Mill+Park&amp;hnear=Mill+Park,+Portland,+Clackamas,+Oregon+97222&amp;ll=45.45484,-122.598109&amp;spn=0.003643,0.007263&amp;z=18" target="_blank">corner of Overland and Linwood</a> ) between 8 and 9 am to sign up and pick the team you want to work on. There will be three teams in Tideman Johnson &#8211; two in the creek and one on the ground in the park itself. Bring gloves and boots that you don&#8217;t mind getting wet. After the clean-up, we&#8217;ll reconvene at Mill Park for the post-clean up party.</p>
<p><span id="more-1500"></span><strong>Friends of Tideman Johnson, First Saturday of the month, starting October 2nd, 9 a.m. &#8211; noon at Tideman Johnson Park (<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=tideman+johnson+park,+OR&amp;sll=45.45484,-122.598109&amp;sspn=0.003643,0.007263&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=Tideman+Johnson+City+Park&amp;hnear=Tideman+Johnson+City+Park,+Portland,+Multnomah,+Oregon+97222&amp;ll=45.462659,-122.625189&amp;spn=0.00748,0.014527&amp;z=17" target="_blank">map it</a>)</strong></p>
<p>We have received another grant from the Community Watershed Stewardship Program so we can continue restoration efforts in Tideman Johnson Park. We&#8217;ll be focusing on areas in the woodland and along the Springwater Trail where so they&#8217;ll be ready for planting in the winter.</p>
<p>We&#8217;re looking forward to another good year in Tideman Johnson &#8211; we hope to see you out there!</p>
<p>Marianne</p>

<p>Matt Rinker, Jeff Davis and Chris Davis helped deliver the presents, including a queen-sized mattress and box spring, in the pouring rain.</p>
<p>Last year the Neighborhood Association had to deliver the presents in a foot and a half of snow.</p>
