If you already subscribe to CodeRED and your phone number changed before June 2009, you will need to update your phone number in the system.

The automated messaging system will call subscribers to alert any emergency situation present in the area.

Milwaukie Police Department activated CodeRED on Jan. 15th when a shooting suspect was at large in the Island Station Neighborhood.

CodeRED was activated back in June 2007, instructing Ardenwald-Johnson Creek NDA residents to stay indoors and close all windows after ammonia leaked from a nearby cold storage facility.

The CodeRED system is for emergency communications only and will appear as “9999119999″ on the subscriber’s CallerID.

Visit Milwaukie’s CodeRED website for more information and to subscribe. Residents without internet service can call the Milwaukie Police Department at 503-786-7406 during its business hours.
