Balfour Park Fundraiser Plant Sale May 20

Please come support your newest neighborhood park at the Ardenwald/Johnson Creek Neighborhood Plant Sale on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at 3012 SE Balfour Street.

The plant sale is a fundraiser for the new, but undeveloped neighborhood park on Balfour Street. To date, we have raised over $8,000 towards the development of the park, and a master plan has been completed and approved, but a lot more money needs to be raised!

Plants for the sale have been donated by your neighbors, and there are many native plants, grasses, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs, and veggie starts that are waiting to go home with you.

Please contact Lisa at 503-754-1655 if you have any questions.

Note: Please bring cash or check as we won’t have a debit/credit card reader on site.

Tideman Johnson Work Party May 6th

Howdy all Friends of Tideman Johnson,

We’ve got a work party coming right up, next Saturday.  We are going to provide some extra coddling for our newly-planted natives so they remain happy and healthy through the summer. This means mulching, weeding, and “daylighting” our wee plants so they get a good start on life.

Contrary to rumors, we aren’t planning to muck about in the swamp going after impatiens. Sorry if you were looking forward to getting extra mucky.

Saturday, May 6, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Meet up at the Tideman Johnson boardwalk.
Lots of tools, snacks, good times!

We hope to see you out there!
