McLoughlin Blvd Paving Project

Next year ODOT will repave 2.6 miles of McLoughlin Blvd from SE Harold St to SE Harrison St, replace the Crystal Springs Creek Bridge with a new culvert, improve sidewalks and ramps to be ADA compliant, and make repairs to the Johnson Creek Bridge. ODOT expects most of the construction to occur in the summer.

Toxic Air Hotspot meeting Mar. 15

Officials from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and Multnomah County Health Department will be on hand to take your questions and voice your concerns about the recent reports on toxic air hotspots. Ardenwald-Johnson Creek Neighborhood is one of the neighborhoods affected.

The meeting is on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lane Middle School, 7200 SE 60th Ave., Portland. More information is available at (login required).

Watershed-Wide Event Set for Saturday, March 5th

The Johnson Creek Watershed Council is holding a watershed-wide event on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The event is held for volunteers to help remove invasive plants and plant native plants and trees to help improve the watershed. Sites include east Portland, Gresham, and Boring.

The event is family friendly. Gloves and equipment will be provided. There is a complimentary pizza lunch afterwards for volunteers.

Trimet Service Changes Effective Mar. 6th

TriMet has eight bus lines that will have service changes beginning Sunday, March 6, 2016. The eight lines affected includes Line 75 that serves stops in the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek Neighborhood.

Line 75 is extending trips to Milwaukie during the weekday. Currently, the last stop on weekdays arrives in Milwaukie after 10:00 p.m. The new schedule has the last stop on weekdays arriving in Milwaukie after 1:00 a.m.
