With a unanimous “yea” vote at the November 12, 2013, regular neighborhood meeting, the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek Neighborhood Association approved to make a permanent change to the meeting date.
Starting in January 2014, the Neighborhood Association will meet on the fourth Monday of the month. The location at Milwaukie Grind (9401 SE 32nd. Ave., Milwaukie) and the starting time at 6:30 p.m. have not changed.
The discussion to move the meeting date began at the October 8, 2013, meeting so the neighborhood meeting dates did not conflict with the Planning Commission’s meeting on the same Tuesday night and time. Planning Commission meetings are on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Milwaukie City Council meetings are on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
The initial plan was to move the meeting to the third Monday of the month, but at the November meeting, the day and time now conflicts with Moving Forward Milwaukie meetings.
Moving Forward Milwaukie’s plans for SE 32nd Ave. and the Murphy and McFarland sites are an interest to Ardenwald as these sites are within the neighborhood boundaries.
A representative from Ardenwald has been appointed to attend the MFM meetings.
January 27, 2014, will be Ardenwald’s first regular meeting on the fourth Monday of the month.
