Saturday June 13: Final Cleanup and Celebration of the Season at Minthorn

This Saturday will be the final monthly cleanup event at Minthorn Springs before the summer break, and to finish off the season, there’s a celebration planned with refreshments and local wildlife experts! Attend the cleanup, the celebration, or both — and yes, you’re welcome at the celebration even if you’re not attending the cleanup.

  • The Cleanup: 9:30am – noon. We will be continuing with invasive weeding to get the native plants as prepared as they can be for the summer months. Tools, gloves, and light snacks are provided. This event is free and family-friendly. RSVP here!

  • The Celebration: 11:00am – 1:30pm. The celebration will include refreshments, a birding expert, an amazing wildlife photographer, an Indigenous bowmaker, and a microscope enthusiast who will show what wiggles in the water. You can also purchase a rubber duck for the Kellogg Creek Rubber Duck Race! No need to RSVP; just show up!

Both events happen at Minthorn Springs (map it). Abundant parking is available across SE 37th Ave. in the Milwaukie Marketplace. After this event, monthly cleanup events at Minthorn go on hiatus for the summer, but will resume in the autumn.
