Johnson Creek Watershed Council is hosting a Johnson Creek clean-up event on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Volunteers will meet at Mill Park at the corner of SE Linnwood Ave and SE Overland St. for the clean-up that runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The clean-up will include wading in the creek for trash removal in certain segments of the creek, so participants will need to wear clothing and shoes they don’t mind becoming wet and dirty, and bring a water bottle. Overland Park Coalition is hosting a post-work party barbecue afterwards from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
