What: The Milwaukie Neighborhood Main Streets Kickoff Event!

When: Wednesday, May 6th 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Where: Public Safety Building (3200 SE Harrison St.)

Why: Tell the project team about your ideas about the types of businesses and buildings that would best serve the main street areas of 32nd and 42nd Avenues

How: The Kickoff will include a presentation highlighting the 2012 Neighborhood Main Streets project recommendations and the types of businesses and buildings that could best serve the neighborhood main street areas of 32nd and 42nd avenues. You will provide direction to the project team about the types of businesses you would like to see in these areas, and what new buildings should look like, through small group discussions and live audience polling.

About Milwaukie Neighborhood Main Streets:

This event kicks off Phase 3 of the Moving Forward Milwaukie project – Neighborhood Main Streets!

This project will:

Neighborhood Main Streets is the third and final phase of the Moving Forward Milwaukie Project. The Kickoff will include a presentation highlighting the 2012 Neighborhood Main Streets project recommendations and the types of businesses and buildings that could best serve the neighborhood main street areas of 32nd and 42nd avenues. There will be live audience polling and a visual preference survey session on potential uses and services, and the character and building styles for the Neighborhood Main Streets.

The three project areas of the Moving Forward Milwaukie project are Downtown, Central Milwaukie, and the Neighborhood Main Streets of 32nd and 42nd avenues.

Thursday, May 21, 6:00pm: Project Advisory Committee meeting #11 to discuss proposed Neighborhood Main Streets amendments

Public hearings on the Neighborhood Main Streets are tentatively scheduled for July 2015.
