This Saturday, Oct. 18, the Johnson Creek Watershed Council is holding an orientation for volunteer salmon surveyors. These surveys will help inform the Council’s efforts toward salmon habitat recovery in the Watershed.
The surveys are designed for all levels of mobility through in-stream, bank, and stationary surveys looking for live salmon, carcasses, and nests. Surveys usually take about 3 hours and are scheduled in your own time. You will be surveying with a team, so feel free to sign up your own and they’ll team you up with other surveyors!
