It’s time to check those bicycle tires, lube that chain, fit your helmet and roll on out as the dual city Sunday Parkways returns on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both Portland and Milwaukie are sharing the family-friendly 8.5-mile Sunday Parkways route touring through Sellwood-Moreland and several Milwaukie neighborhoods.
The route includes a tour of the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek neighborhood along SE 29th Ave. and SE Olsen St., and four event stops, including one stop at Water Tower Park at the corner of SE Harvey St. and SE 40th Ave.
Streets on the event route will be closed to motor vehicles. City of Milwaukie ensures local residents on the route (including the dead-ends west of 29th Ave.) will have access.
