Goodly people of AJC, here’s the latest on what to expect from the Harvey Street Improvements project:

What’s Happening Now?

Please note: Water service reconnections will begin the week of May 4 on SE Harvey Street and intermittently on 33rd Avenue and 36th Avenue. Crews will give residents a 48-hour notification in advance of any water shut-off at their homes.

Week of April 27

Various locations along Harvey Street:

  • Crews will build new retaining walls. 
  • Crews will continue with concrete grading work. 
  • Crews will continue with water service installations.

Harvey Street and 33rd Avenue:

  • Crews will install new water mainlines.

Harvey Street and 42nd Avenue:

  • Crews will do stormwater work.
  • Crews will install manholes and storm drains.

Week of May 4

Various locations along Harvey Street:

  • Crews will continue with concrete grading work.
  • Crews will prepare to install new curbs.

Harvey Street and 33rd Avenue:

  • Crews will continue to install new water mainlines.

Week of May 10

Harvey Street and 33rd Avenue:

  • Crews will continue with water work, including shutting off old water lines that are no longer in use.
