After a near miss (and the subsequent raising of safety concerns) on the SE 29th Avenue Greenway a couple of years ago, neighbors are now seeing the fruits of their efforts: new stop signs and strategically placed plastic delineators at corners to create calmer intersections. Cars still have full access, but these changes will slow vehicle speeds and make the street less attractive as a north–south cut-through, helping this street live up to the standards of serenity and safety a Neighborhood Greenway is meant to provide.
To celebrate the win, neighbors are organizing a block party! The details:
