Work continues along Harvey Street, SE 33rd Avenue, SE 36th Avenue, 42nd Avenue, and SE Howe Street. Crews are installing new waterlines and hydrants, completing utility tie?ins, grading the roadway, and preparing to pour new concrete and repave streets.
Construction Schedule for July 20 – August 7
Harvey Street from 32nd Avenue to 42nd Avenue:
- Crews are continuing grading work and preparing curbs, sidewalks, and driveways. They plan to pour concrete for the new curbs, sidewalks, and driveway entries between July 24 and August 3.
Residents will continue to have access to their property throughout construction. However, after new concrete is poured, residents will not be able to drive on their driveways for 7 days, while the concrete cures. Residents may walk on their driveway after 1 day of curing.
The crew will knock on doors and leave door hangers with details about temporary driveway closures for residents. If you have concerns about accessibility, please contact the project manager, Hector Gomez-Barrios at GomezH@milwaukieoregon.gov.

- On 33rd Avenue and 36th Avenue: July 27 – 28
- On 42nd Avenue: August 3 – 6

- On 42nd Avenue: August 5 – 7
- On Harvey Street: August 13 – 17
Please note that during this time, the roadway will not be accessible for up to 8 hours while the asphalt cools. Crews will monitor the temperature and allow traffic to enter once the surface temperature cools to 140°F. Dates are subject to change.
