Harvey Street Improvements Update (Late August)

What You Can Expect Over the Next Few Weeks

Work continues across multiple corridors in the Harvey Street project area. Crews are completing grading, curb preparation, concrete pouring and asphalt paving.

Below is a summary of scheduled activities. 

Concrete sidewalk and driveway pouring is planned for: 

Harvey Street and 42nd?Avenue: 

  • Concrete grading: August 25-27
  • Concrete pouring: August 28

Residents will have access to their property throughout concrete construction. Please wait one day before walking and seven days before driving on freshly poured concrete. The crew will be knocking on doors and leaving door hangers about driveway work affecting residents. 

Grinding and Paving is planned for the following dates for the following streets: 

Harvey Street: 

  • Grinding and paving will occur until the second and third week of September. 
  • Stay updated on the project website

What to Expect for Grinding and Paving: 

  • Move vehicles before 7 a.m. on workday 
  • Street access during grinding is limited 
  • No street access during paving until pavement is cooled below 140°F 
  • Emergency vehicles will have access at all times
