Intersection widening, signal installation work to start next month

Intersection improvement at SE Johnson Creek Blvd. and SE 32nd Ave will start at the beginning of next month.

TriMet Community Affairs Jennifer Koozer says the westbound SE Johnson Creek Blvd. lane widening, traffic signal installation, and sidewalk ramp work will begin early July and continue for a few weeks.

Flaggers will control the intersection during the work hours. The flashing red light will be removed, but the intersection will continue to be a three-way stop during non-working hours.

The TriMet 75 line bus stop on westbound SE Johnson Creek Blvd. will be relocated to southbound SE 32nd Ave. near SE Furat Ct.

Trees were removed in February in preparation for the require intersection improvement in connection with the TriMet Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Tacoma Street/Johnson Creek station Park & Ride.
